I went to my Art Group last night. I haven't been for a couple of weeks as i've felt totally underwhelmed with the whole painting thing. I grabbed a water colour pad, some paints and a couple of pics and this is what i came up with. Its not a fantastic likeness of my nan and grandad lol, but i enjoyed sketching and painting it. My nan passed away last year and my grandad in June this year.....maybe by painting them i was trying to heal some wounds! Maybe my down feelings lately have been partially grief. My posts are so doom and gloom these days :)

Cara, I think you did really well!Lucky you having an art group to go to.
ReplyDeleteSorry you are feeling so down, I wish I could pop around for a nice cup of tea, I am sure we would cheer each other up :)
It's a lovely portrait! I'm sorry to hear about your loss and I hope your art provides some healing.
ReplyDeleteHey sweets, My craft time will end soon enough once this belly pops! Sending you a huge fat hug and love the gramps n pops painting.
