I don't think i'm cut out for all this art/painting/creating stuff. I feel quite frustrated at the moment and don't know how to move forward with this painting. I know in my head how i wanna paint...but i cannot do it.
I am thinking about having an art exhibition/sale in November this year....and was extremely hyped up about it the other day.....but i'm not so sure now. I don't want to make a fool of myself.
Aww, don't give up! You can do anything. By the way, the face on your pixie girl painting is absolutely gorgeous!!
ReplyDeleteWe all hit a wall sometimes. Your artwork
ReplyDeleteis fabulous..walk away from this one for awhile,
get a coffee, read a book, and come back to it.
It will come to you!
Thank you both for your inspiring comments :)
ReplyDeleteI will do exactly that :)
Maybe I'm going to easy on you since I don't know what direction you have in your head... but to be honest? I think that painting is pretty fab as it is :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Beth. I still have a way to go with it.....you know when you just know when its finished :). I think kate is right....i've hit a wall....and then the confidence tumbles!
ReplyDeleteShe is beautiful...maybe you can darken the edges and add crackle medium...these will give it a little bit of texture...just an idea...the painitng is pretty as is.
ReplyDeleteThink positive :)
Thanks. I will take your ideas on board....after all...you are an amazing artist! :)
ReplyDeleteTake heart! Sometimes the best thing you can do when blocked on a certain painting is to step away for a while--either work on another piece, or leave entirely and go for a walk or put music on or whatever helps. Often, when I return to the studio after a rejuvenating break, it's immediately clear to me where to go next in the painting.
